I didn’t know what to expect at first, but this turns out to be pretty good. Not sure how Neil Young kept a straight face throughout the song, but he does a surprisingly good cover of the ‘Fresh Prince’ theme song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

**UPDATE**
Ok, now I feel like a fool. I probably watched this video of ‘Neil Young’ singing the Fresh Prince theme song about seven times this morning. It wasn’t until I read this article from NPR hours later that I realized that wasn’t Neil Young… That was actually Jimmy Fallon doing a freakishly good impersonation. Still a good cover though.

First.. I was watching this on tv, and I don’t think that’s Neil Young. I’m pretty sure that’s Jimmy Fallon doing a pretty good impersonation of Neil Young.
Either way.. he does a good job. It brings a tear to my eye.

I have to agree.. I don’t know how he kept a straight face while singing it. I was cracking up the whole time.

For a moment I thought he was the real Young! That’s incredible.

I must admit… I’m not really a fan of Jimmy Fallon and haven’t watched a single moment from his new show. But that right there just made his stock go up in my book.
Not only was that a stellar impersonation of Neil Young, he covered the theme song from my favorite tv show growing up. Thanks for posting the vid.

Considering he was introduced as Neil Young it’s not surprising that you may have been fooled for a little while but the whole song.
Still, it was actually pretty good.
